The body decides against the regularization of ad hoc employees hired by the SESSI during the coronavirus emergency
Sindh Labor and Human Resources Minister Saeed Ghani has said that the minimum monthly salary for security guards, associated with Sindh Employees Social Security Institution (SESSI), has been raised to Rs 25,000.
The Labor Minister said this on Monday while presiding over the 159th meeting of SESSI’s governing body in the committee room of the Sindh Assembly.
Sindh Government Labor Secretary Laeeq Ahmed, SESSI Commissioner Ahmed Ali Qureshi and other senior officials were also present.
The meeting decided that a new agreement would be signed with the competent private security agency to increase the minimum monthly salary of SESSI security guards to Rs 25,000 and also register them with SESSI and the Security Benefits Institution. old age of employees (EOBI).
The governing body also decided that the services of employees hired by SESSI on an ad hoc basis during the coronavirus emergency would not be regularized. Participants at the meeting felt that these staff members had been categorically informed at the time of recruitment that their employment was only for the coronavirus emergency period.
The governing body decided that these staff members were eligible to apply for vacancies at SESSI as they would be given preference for regular employment. The meeting also gave its first agreement for the establishment of a calendar mechanism for the promotion of SESSI agents from grade 1 to grade 15 and above. The Secretary of Labor and the SESSI Commissioner will review all cases of promotion and issue a report to that effect.
