Tesda chief Isidro Lapeña renewed his call for local governments and the private sector to take advantage of the free contact tracing program and call on its graduates to serve in their communities.
“Engaging the services of more Tesda contact tracers at the community level will help prevent the spread of Covid-19,” Lapeña added.
More than 11,000 interns have so far completed the Contact Tracing Level 2 Program (CTTP) – with 1,689 graduating in 2020 and 9,367 in 2021.
Lapeña said the program was developed with the help of the Department of Health’s Office of Health Human Resources Development and health industry experts. The program lasts 15 days where learners use a blended learning modality.
CTTP scholarship recipients received a training allowance of P2,400, insurance coverage and an additional allowance for internet expenses and PPE.
