Medi-Share has partnered with the Thrive & Cultivate ’22 summit focused on the mental health of church leaders. This free 2-day event featured the Medical Director of Medi-Share and 37 additional speakers who encouraged and equipped pastors across the country.
Christian Care Ministry / Medi-Share, America’s most trusted healthcare sharing ministry and trustee of the Medi-Share Pastors Alliance, has encouraged pastors and church staff nationwide to participate in this 2-day free online event.
Thrive and Grow: Mental Health Summit for Church Leaders Held May 11and and 12and. About 44% of pastors say their job is exhausting, but only a quarter seek advice. This summit was designed to shine a light on the need for mental health resources for our pastors and to equip them to care for themselves, their teams and their community.
“One of the toughest jobs on the planet right now is being a pastor or a church staffer. I am thrilled that we have the opportunity to build deeper community through the Alliance of pastors by resourcing these leaders both personally and at the congregational level to promote Kingdom welfare and impact.—Barry Sneed, Executive Director of the Medi-Share Pastors Alliance
The Medi-Share Pastors Alliance (MPA) is an online community designed to support pastors as they support the church. The Medi-Share Pastors Alliance has over 4,000 members and continues to grow. Any pastor (or member of paid pastoral ministry personnel) who is a member of Medi-Share can join. All Pastors Alliance members were encouraged to attend the Thrive and Cultivate ’22 summit for free.
Participants heard from mental health professionals, non-clinical voices and church leaders with a focus on self-care and mental health as a ministry. This year’s hosts were Kenny Jahng, CEO of Big Click Syndicate and Katie Allred, expert in online communities for nonprofits.
Dr. Alesia Greene, of Medi-Share, was one of 38 speakers during the two-day event.
I am so honored to be included in this year’s Thrive and Cultivate Summit. It’s a wonderful opportunity to help leaders understand how and when mental health counseling and medical treatment can be useful tools to help people who are stressed recover healthily and quickly. It is only by working with our community, medical and spiritual leaders that we can provide comprehensive remedies for our current mental health issues. Each provides such powerful solutions when used together. – Alesia Greene, MD, Medical Director
The Thrive & Cultivate Online Library will be available for online viewing for the next six months for a nominal fee.
