Hikvision launches 2nd generation IP cameras and Acusense NVRs

The new Value IP G2 cameras are said to combine 4MP or 4K Ultra High Definition (8MP) performance with improved AcuSense technology.

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. — Hikvision has released the second generation (G2) of the company’s AcuSense Value IP cameras and network video recorders (NVRs).

The newly launched Value IP G2 cameras are said to combine 4MP or 4K Ultra High Definition (8MP) performance with enhanced AcuSense technology, with the ability to identify and distinguish people, vehicles and other moving targets.

In addition to improving overall security, Value IP G2 cameras and NVRs are said to help reduce operating costs by reducing false alarms by up to 90%, thereby improving the utilization of valuable human resources.

“This new line of Value IP G2 cameras and AcuSense NVRs is another example of Hikvision’s commitment to delivering the perfect balance of extreme performance and value,” said John Xiao, Vice President of Marketing, Hikvision USA. “They provide a highly effective and efficient video surveillance solution that is priced well for consumer applications in all vertical markets.”

Value IP G2 solutions incorporate AcuSense Motion Detection 2.0 with enhanced functionality to detect and distinguish humans, vehicles and other objects with instant alarms and quick search functions. These enhancements allow users to instantly react to live events triggered by the classification of human or vehicle targets and quickly locate recorded events.

Value IP G2 cameras feature either 4 MP or 4K Ultra High Definition (8 MP) image sensors and are available in multiple form factors, including bullet body, dome and turret styles for use in interior or exterior applications. The new units offer a longer infrared distance of 32.8 feet compared to previous models, delivering sharper black and white video and images at a greater distance. All models also incorporate H.265+ video compression technology to save bandwidth and storage and include a built-in microphone.

The new AcuSense NVRs are available with up to 12 MP live view, storage and playback capabilities, and 32-channel IP camera inputs.
