DUBAI, 1st May, 2022 (WAM) — The Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, has hailed the UAE leadership’s unwavering support for the labor market by endorsing conducive legislation to boost the elasticity, resilience and sustainability of labor market nationwide.
The Minister made the statements during his visit to Al Naboodah Labor Accommodation in Al Awir, Dubai, on the occasion of International Workers’ Day, which is celebrated worldwide on May 1 every year.
“The UAE’s celebration of International Workers’ Day reflects the state’s respect for all workers on Emirati soil and the appreciation of the UAE’s leadership for their contributions to various economic sectors,” said The Minister.
“The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization celebrates the occasion this year under the theme ‘Our workers are the pulse of our achievements’ in a renewed affirmation of their pivotal role in the UAE labor market,” added the Minister, noting the advanced rankings enjoyed by the United Arab Emirates in the Global Competitiveness Reports, where the country is among the fastest economies that have recovered from the repercussions of the Covid-19 pandemic thanks to the incentives provided by the government to the private sector.
“This occasion comes this year after the United Arab Emirates began implementing, on February 2, the Federal Decree-Law regarding the regulation of the employment relationship, which guarantees the protection of the rights and obligations of both parties in a balanced manner.” , he concluded.
