Biden Directs Federal Resources To Storm Affected States | News

PResident Joe Biden on Saturday led an increase in federal resources to states affected by tornadoes and severe storms on Friday and Saturday.

Biden said resources would be sent to where the need was greatest after Illinois, Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Alabama and Kentucky were all hit by storms, with Kentucky seeing the bigger damage. More than 70 are believed to have died in Kentucky, according to Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, with the death toll expected to exceed 100 by the end of the day.

“This morning I was informed of the devastating tornadoes across the central United States,” Biden tweeted. “Losing a loved one in a storm like this is an unimaginable tragedy. We are working with Governors to ensure they have what they need as the search for survivors and the damage assessment continue.”
